MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />6:30 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />January 15, 2002 <br /> <br /> Council conferred with Real Property Negotiator Deborah McKeehan regarding the <br />City's potential acquisition of property on Petronave Lane. <br /> <br /> Council conferred with Legal Counsel regarding pending litigation (Standard Pacific v. <br />City of Pleasanton). <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:05 <br />p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Dennis led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. Ms. Dennis <br />welcomed everyone to the meeting. She indicated she had been to a Civic Entrepreneurs <br />Conference with the Th-Valley Business Council and other regional planning organizations <br />throughout the State of California to discuss citizen involvement in regional planning. One of <br />the concerns was how to get people involved in regional planning. There were <br />regional issues discussed, such as education and enhancing communities that are more urban in <br />nature. Getting people involved is something we do very well in this area. She was very proud <br />of the citizens of Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley area. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, and Mayor Tom <br />Pico. Staffmembers present were: Deborah McKeehan, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br />Attorney; Brian Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Wayne Rasmussen, <br />Principal Planner; Phil Grubstick, City Engineer; and Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 01 / 15/02 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
