7 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />December 5, 2000 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Ben Tarver <br />at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Boy Scout Troop 943 led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti offered her best wishes to Mayor Tarver as he leaves office and to <br />incoming Mayor Pico and Councilmembers Matt Campbell and Kay Ayala. She looked <br />forward to a productive four years. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver thanked the community for giving him an opportunity to serve the <br />City of Pleasanton for twelve years. He also thanked staff for all their hard work during <br />that time. He thsnked the Councilmembers for moving the commBRity forward arid <br />making it a better community during that time. In addition, he thanked the community <br />members who had served on various boards and cowmissions during that time. He <br />specially thanked his family. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were: Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Tom Pico, <br />and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Michael Roush, City Attorney; Randall A. Lure, Director of Public Works; Brian Swift, <br />Director of Planning and Community Development; Tim Ncal, Chief of Police; Dave <br />Iremonger, Treasury Manager; Ph~ Grubstick, Assistant Director of Public Works; and <br />Susan Rossi, Director of Finance. <br /> <br />3.
