MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIl. <br /> <br />July 18, 2000 <br /> <br />6:00 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> A closed session was held prior to the City Council meeting to discuss the <br />thllo'Mng topics: <br /> Conference with Real Property Negotiator Deborah Aeosta regarding potential <br />purchase of the San Francisco Bemal Avenue proper~y. <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation concerning <br />groundwater rights and related issues. <br /> Conlbrence with Labor Negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding the Management <br />Compensation Plan. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tarver at <br />7:03 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Dem~is led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She then <br />announced the Shakespeare in the Park performances which were to commence this <br />weekend at Amador Community Park. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. <br />Pico, Jr., and Mayor Tarver. Staff members present were Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Randall A. Lum, <br />Director of Public Works; Oreg Plucker, Senior Planner; Steve Cusenza~ Manager of <br />Utilities; and James W.
