293 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNt IL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> Hay 18, 1970 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular ~eeting of the City Council <br /> to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called ~he roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilman Beratlis, Getton, PearSon, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. <br />Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City <br />Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public t~orks, and Mr. Castro, Director of <br />Planning, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AI4ENDMENTS <br /> Councilman Pearson requested that item 'g' be removed from the Consent <br />Calendar for clarification. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid requested that the matter regarding the construction of Fire <br />Station No. 3, which was disapproved at the Council meeting of May 11, 1970, <br />be reconsidered at this meeting. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Council.man Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of the April, 1970 Claim Warrants in the amount of $79,151.48 <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-112, scheduling a public hearing for July 6, <br /> 1970 on Annexation No. 59, Meadowlark Dairy. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-113, approvin~ to quitclaim certain temporary <br /> easements previously required for Nest Pleasanton Se~er. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-,114, approving the agreement between the City <br /> of Pleasanton and Mr. and Hrs. Ted Slosek regarding the Completion of <br /> Improvement work, <br /> <br /> e.Adoption of Resolution No. 70-115, Acception the Public Improvements in <br /> Tract No. 3092, Arroyo De1 Prado, Unit No. 6. <br /> <br />f. Scheduling a public hearing on June 1, 1970, on the application of the <br /> Planning C~.ission to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 520, Section 2.103 (f), <br /> Sidewalk Requirements and Exceptions; said amendment to revise the present <br /> wording to prohibit fences, walls and hedges not over six feet high to en- <br /> croach within the required ten feet sideyard setback. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Beretlie, Getton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Nayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />AB SENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid asked Mr. Pearson what he wished to have clarified in item <br /> Consent Calendar, regarding PUD-60-8, an application of First Pleasanton Investors, <br /> to fezone by amendment to the original PUD from the RM-2500 and R-1-6500 Districts <br /> to the Freeway Counercial and BM-2000 Districts, that property described as Parcel <br /> 2-9 of Assessorts Map Book 946, Block 1101, containing 11.7 acres, more or less, <br /> and a portion of Parcel 6, Assessor~s Nap Book 99-B, Block 3950, Page 1, containing <br /> approximately 9.1 acres, or more commonly known as that property innediately south <br /> of Highway 580 and east of Tassajara Road. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson questioned ~hether or not a public hearing had been held on this <br /> application and also asked if the Council had made a co~mittment regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> <br />
