1=37 <br /> <br /> HINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE HErrING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> April 20, 1970 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br /> Hayor Bernard G~ton ~alled the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br /> to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Beretlie, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Council- <br /> man Rega was absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, <br /> Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, <br /> Director of Planning, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Fales requested that the Public Hearing on the application of the J. A. <br /> Jenks Company be rescheduled for April 27, 1970. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fales also requested that a letter from the Pleasanton Police Association <br /> be included with the Communications to be read at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beretlie and seconded by Councilman Reid that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. The Minutes of the City Council meetings of March 2nd, 4th, 9th, 16th, 19th, <br />-- 23rd and 30th, 1970. <br /> <br /> b. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-73, authorizing the ninth and final progress pay- <br /> ment in the amount of $18,092.84, be paid to Oil Construction Company for work <br /> completed on the Santa Rite Pumping Station and authorizing that the Notice of <br /> Completion be filed. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-74, approving the Specifications and calling for <br /> bids at 2:00 P.M., on May 4;-1970, for the construction of improvements on <br /> Black Avenue. <br /> <br /> d. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-75, approving the payment in the amount of <br /> $3,829.24 to John Edgren and Sons for the Flat Bed Dump Truck. <br /> <br /> e. Scheduling a Public Hearing on May 4, 1970, on the application of Raymond D. <br /> Young to fezone from the Industrial Park District to the Commercial Service <br /> District, that property described as Lot 32, Tract No. 2527, Mission Park, <br /> generally located on the southeast corner of Sonoma Drive and Sunol Boulevard. <br /> <br /> f. Scheduling a Public Hearing on May 4, 1970, on the application of American <br /> Forest Products Corporation to fezone from the Agricultural District to the <br /> Commercial Service District that property described as Parcel 3-4 of Assessor's <br /> Map Book 946, Block 3295, containing approximately 7.25 acres and generally <br /> located on the northwest corner of Valley Avenue and Santa Rite Road. <br /> <br /> g. Scheduling a Public Hearing for May 4, 1970, on the application of Dr. Ralph <br /> P. Juhl to fezone from the Agricultural District to the Office District, that <br /> property described as a portion of Parcel 1-4, Block 3367, Map Book 946, of <br /> the Alameda County Assessor's office, generally located on the south side of <br /> Black Avenue, 500 feet west of Santa Rite Road and containing approximately <br /> .2~ acres,. <br /> <br /> h. Accepting the report of the Planning Commission regarding their approval of <br /> Tentative Tract Map No. 3150, Stoneson. <br /> <br /> i. Approving the March, ~970, Claims in the amount of $102,319.23. <br /> <br /> j. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-76, authorizing the City of pleasanton to pur- <br /> chase items from the Department of General Services of the State of Californf~ <br /> <br /> <br />
