Mr. Castro displayed a map of the area and reported that the Planning Commissio~ unanimously approved the pre-zoning, pending annexation, from the Agricultural Dis- trict to the RM-2500 District. Mr. Castro explained that the recommendation of the Planning Commission was different from the application requesting zezoning to RM-1500. There being no public protest, it was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the public hearing be closed. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Rega In response to Councilman Reid's question, Mr. Castro stated that the General Plan designation for this area was high-density multiples. Councilman Reid asked Mr. Mirst if the one-year waiting period for re-submittal of the rezoning application would apply, should this request be denied. Mr. Hirst stated that he was inclined to believe it would not apply because this was a pre- zoning request pending annexation. After some discussion, it was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Mayor Getton that Ordinance No. 595, amending Ordinance No. 520, pre-zoning, pend- ing annexation, from the Agricultural District to the RM-2500 District, that pro- perty known as 3883 Vineyard Avenue, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES~ Councilman Beratlis and Mayor Gerton NOES: Councilmen Reid and Spiliotopoulos ABSENT: Councilman Rega Mayor Getton stated that this matter will be continued for discussion at the meeting of April 27, 1970.
