437 <br /> <br /> MINXtEES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> January 12, 1970 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br /> Mayor Bernard Getton called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Council- <br />man Reid was absent. Mr, Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, <br />Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr, Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, <br />Director of Planning, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> There were no amendments to the agenda. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-8, approving the Reimbursement Agreement with <br /> Schulte-Blackwell regarding a 12" Water Line constructed in Foothill Road. <br /> <br />b. Approval of the December 1st, 8th, and 15th, 1969, Minutes of the City Council <br /> meetings. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of ~h~ Planning.Commission for an amendment to Section 2.100, Ord~_Mq% <br />520, in order to establish R-i-3000, R-~-4000, and R-1-50OO Districts.~ to be <br />applicable. o.nXy when used_in_con]unction with the Planned Unit Development_D+~tri~t <br /> Mr. Fales requested that this matter be referred back to the Planning Commis- <br />sion as there are a number of items which should be clarified and completed before <br />discussion at the City Council level. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos <br />that the application of the Planning Commission for an amendment to Section 2.100, <br />Ordinance No. 520, be referred back to that Conmaission for clarification and com- <br />pletion. <br />The roll. call vote ~as as.follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br />Appeal of Mr, Heman D. ~u~ht ~150 Dwi~h~ Way, BerkeleY, on behalf of Mr, Phil <br />Davidson~ .~r.0m. an.adverse deqi~ion ~f the_Planning ~ommission in .denying an <br />~pplicati.on to fezone from the. B~.gq.k 3032, located .~mmediately east of Sunol Blvd., <br />and fronting o~ Arlington Dr~ve, said proper~y cgntaini~g appr0x. 2.67 acres <br /> Councilman Rega suggested that this public hearing be postponed until a~ter <br /> the joint meeting with the City Council and the citizens who filed a petition at <br /> the meeting of January 5th regarding the rezoning from single family residence <br /> to a higher density, could be held. <br /> Mr. Fales stated that this meeting has been scheduled for February 16th. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the <br /> public hearing on the appeal of Mr. Herman Ruth from an adverse decision of the <br /> Planning Commission to fezone from the R-1 District to the P.U.D. District, be <br /> postponed until the City Council meeting of February 23, 1970. <br /> <br /> <br />
