CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO TIlE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson and Mayor Reid were present. CounCilman Spiliotopoulos was absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edqar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, were present. Mr. Aiello, Act- ing Director of Planning, was absent. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Councilman Pearson asked that the minutes of the City Council meeting of April 19, 1971, page 2, be corrected to include his name on the roll call vote, opposing the introduction of Ordinance No. 627. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Gerton that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Minutes of April 5th, 12ti and 26th, 1971 and the minutes of April 19th, 1971 as corrected. b. Adoption of Resolution No, 71-101, authorizing the request to the Public Utilities Commission for allocation of funds for various railroad crossing improvements. c. Attendance report of Planning and Parks and Recreation Comm- issioners. d. Retention of various summer part-time personnel in connection with the 1971 Summer Recreation Program. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-102, approving the Bill of Sale and Conveyance offered by the Pacific Gas & Electric Company with letter dated April23, 1971, relating to the electric facilities as installed within the area of Assessment District No. 70-1. Longview. f. I~laiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 630, amending the City of Pleasanton Ordinance Code relating to the removal of abandoned vehicles. g. Adoption of Ordinance No. 630.
