MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> March 13, 1972 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER -.PLEDGE TO FLAG <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> <br />City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll .which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, <br />Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, Mr. Castro, Director of Comm- <br />unity Development and Mr.~ AiellQ, .Senior Planner, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />There were no amendments to the ,agenda. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and ..seconded by Councilman <br />Pearson that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be <br />approved: <br /> <br /> a. City Council Minutes for February,~ 1972 <br /> <br /> b. Adoption.of Resolution No.. 72.38, Authorizing Progress Payment <br /> No. 2, in the amountlof $52,221.82, be paid~to East Bay Excava- <br /> ting Company, ~Incorporated, for work completed on the Bernal <br /> Avenue Re.alignment Project No. 71-4. <br /> <br />The~ roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission to reclassif~ ~properties tri- <br />butary to the Sunol Boulevard Sewage Treatment. Plant to the Study <br />District · <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open and asked for a staff <br />report. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar explained that this matter is a result of the Council's <br />direction last fall to the Planning Commission to undertake a study <br />of the properties tributary .to the Sunol Boulevard Sewage Treatment <br />Plant. Mr. Edgar also explained that some of the .properties were <br />excluded~ at this time, pending. further. study. He advised the Council <br />that the owners of the Mission Park area had asked that discussion of <br />the "hill area" in Mission Park be continued, as they were unable to <br />be present at this piblic hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Castro reviewed the reasoning-for the implementation~ of the Study <br />District which would give the Planning. Commission the opportunity to <br />review circulation problems~ in addition to ~the present zoning on these <br />parcels. He advised the, Council that two parcels owned. by Morrison <br /> <br /> <br />
