MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL March 9, 1976 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Edward Kinney called the Adjourned Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 5:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Edgar requested that the Adoption of Ordinances 778 and 779, be added to the agenda as items 4a(1) and 4a(2). Councilmember Philcox requested that item 6 - Comments from Retiring Council- members, be heard before item 5. Councilmember LeClaire requested that an item be added to the agenda regarding a letter from Sheila Prindiville to Wells Fargo Bank related to sewage treatment. It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that the agenda be approved as amended. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: None SPECIAL REPORTS Adoptio~ of .Ordinanc.e.~o. It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, that Ordinance No. 778, rezoning approximately 32 acres located south of Angela Street, west of Mirador Drive, north of Pico Avenue, and east of Wh. iting Street, from the S (Study) and R-1-6500 (Single Family Residential) Districts to the A (Agricultural) District, and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: None ~ord~nance No. 779, Increasing the Size of the HousinM Authority Board from Five Members to Seven Members (Introduced 2-23-761 bY a 4-1 vote) Mr. Edgar briefly reviewed this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember McLain, that Ordinance No. 779, increasing the size of the Housing Authority Board from five (5) to seven (7) members, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: Councilmember LeClaire ABSENT: None
