MI~YTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 25, 1977 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. <br /> Mr. Campbell, Acting City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, and Mr. Sooby, <br /> Director of Engineering Services, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA ~E~DMENTS <br /> .Mr. Campbell requested that item 7a - Request from Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> for a Garbage Rate Increase, be continued to the meeting of May 9, 1977, as re- <br /> quested by Councilmember Brandes and agreed ~o by Pleasanton Garbage Service. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell requested that two items be added under Reports of the City <br /> Attorney as follows: <br /> item lld - Report, Re: Federal Unemplo)nnent Compensation Act <br /> item lie - Report, Re: LAV~%~A Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br /> ~yor Philcox requested that the Minutes of April 11, 1977, be corrected on <br /> page 2, last paragraph, to read "and $3,000.00 to be considered in the Budget <br /> for Fiscal Year 1977-78" <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended, <br />and the agenda as amended: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for April 11, 1977, as amended. <br /> <br />b. Acceptance of report regarding action taken by the Planning Commission on <br /> items at their meeting of April 13, 1977. <br /> <br />c. Proclaim .May as Anti-Litter Month-1977 in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />d. Proclaim May as "55 MPH Compliance Month" in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />e. Proclaim Week of May 1-7, 1977, as Youth Week in Pleasanton as designated by <br /> the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 77-113, accepting two Grant Deeds from Morrison <br /> Homes for public service easements. <br /> <br /> <br />
