g. Adoption of Resolution No. 77-114, accepting Easement for a portion of Longview Drive. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mr. Russell A. Peterson, 3263 Vineyard Avenue, Sp. 185, addressed the Council regarding excessive motorcycle noise and dust in the area near the Vineyard Mobile Villa, and requested City action to correct this problem. After discussion, Council instructed staff to investigate all aspects for solution to the problem with the Department of Public Safety regarding possible use of off-duty patrolment and private motorcycles, costs, Union permission, insurance, and other related items. Councilmember LeClaire suggested the matter of motorcycles be referred to the Park and Recreation Commission for their consideration and recommendation. Councilmember Brandes stated that motorcycle noise was a problem throughout the entire City and requested that the Department of Public Safety make more effort to enforce muffler violations.
