MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 10, 1979 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Frank Brandes, Jr., called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Brandes were present. Council- <br />member ~.Iercer was absent. Mr. Walker, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Levine, City <br />Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, <br />Director of Planning and Community Development, were present. <br /> <br />AGE~AAI.IEN~MENTS <br /> The following amendments were made to the agenda: <br /> <br />item 4a - Approval of City Council Minutes for June 26, 1979, continued to 7-24-79. <br /> <br />item 4b - Adoption of Resolution Delegating Certain Authority to City Manager in <br /> the Processing of Disability Retirements, continued to 7-24-79. <br /> <br />item 8d - Application of Ponderosa Homes for an amendment to the Land Use Elemen.t <br /> of the General Plan which would comprehensively change the land use <br /> designations on a 240-acre site located between 1-680 and Hopyard Road <br /> north and west of the existing development along Hansen Drive and Via <br /> Quito. The changes would remove the planned school sites and rearrange <br /> the proposed locations of parks, high density residential, and medium <br /> density residential development on the site. The City Council may re- <br /> commend approval of the requested change or recommend any other change <br /> in land use designation. <br /> <br /> On the basis of an Initial Study of the potential environmental impacts <br /> of the project, the Director of Planning and Community Development has <br /> determined that the proposed project would not have any potential signi- <br /> ficant adverse effects on the environment and that an environmental im- <br /> pact report need not be prepared. This Initial Study is available for <br /> review at the Planning Division, 200 Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton. Comments <br /> on this decision may be directed to either the Planning staff prior to <br /> the above meeting date, or directly to the City Council at the above <br /> noticed meeting, <br /> <br /> open public hearing and continue to 8-28-79. <br /> <br />item 8e - Application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone a 37 acre area located <br /> along Stanley Boulevard between Main Street and First Street-Stanley <br /> Boulevard roadway to the R-i-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) District <br /> (generally the westernmost 17.5 acres) and the C-S (Service Commercial) <br /> District (generally the eastern 19.5 acres) or any other zoning district <br /> consistent with the General Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
