MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 9, 1980 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Executive Session and Budget Session Meeting <br /> of the City Council to order at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> ROLE CALL <br /> The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, <br /> Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City <br /> Attorney, Mr. Miller, Assistant to the City Manager, Mrs. Wagner, Director of <br /> Finance, Mrs. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, Ms. Morley, <br /> Recreation Supervisor, and Mr. Diez, Recreation Supervisor, were present. <br /> <br /> LXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 7:05 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br /> discuss litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> 1980-81 CITY OF PLEASANTON BUDGET REVIEW <br /> <br />1980 Parks Capital Improvement Program <br /> Members of the American and National Leagues were in attendance and partici- <br />pated in the discussion of improvements at the Sports Park as related to the little <br />league fields. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Wood, to increase the proposed appropriations for im- <br />provements of the fields at the Sports Park to $50,000, and appropriate $31,000 <br />additional funds for completion of the restrooms at the Sports Park, including an <br />enclosed snack bar. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded <br />by Councilmember Butler, that the $80,000 proposed expenditure on picnic facilities <br />at Amador Park be removed from the proposed 1980-81 Capital Improvement Program and <br />that the Park and Recreation Commission be asked to recommend to the Council on how <br />the $29,000 estimated balance should be spent. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> The City Council reviewed the remainder of the proposed Budget in the following <br />order: <br /> <br /> <br />
