499 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 14, 1981 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenn~K Mercer ~ali~ the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order a~ <br />8:DO P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker,. City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, <br />and Mrs. Wagner, Director of Finance, were present. <br /> <br />AG~NDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr'.' Walker' requested that item 12a - Recognition of Firefighter Scan Chapman, <br />be moved to be discussed immediately following the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 12d - Adjustment to Sewer Service Fee Rate <br /> Schedule, be continued to the meeting of July 28, 1981. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr requested that item 4f - Recommendation to Eliminate Parking <br />for Vehicles over 20 feet in length on First Street at Pleasanton School, be re- <br />moved from the Consent Calendar for discussion, as item 121. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and. seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for June 23, 1981. <br /> <br />b. Introduction of Ordinance No. 984, to be read by title only and waiving further <br /> reading thereof, establishing the speed limit on Pimlico Drive from Santa Rita <br /> Road to the right angle turn before Kirkcaldy Street as 35 MPH. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-211, a f'e~tolution ClOS~,n.g the Improvement Fund <br /> Assessment District No. 1974-3, Stoneridge Center. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-212, a resolution declaring surplus in connection <br /> with Assessment District No. 1974-5, Stoneridge Center. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-213, approving the 1981-82 Lease Agreement between <br /> the City of Pleasanton and Family Tutorial Program, Inc., for use of the Veterans <br /> Building for a Senior lunch program for the period from June 30, 1981, to June <br /> 30, 1982, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the agreement. <br /> <br />f. Rescheduled as item 121 on the agenda, Recommendation to Eliminate Parking for <br /> Vehicles over 20 ft. in length on First Street at Pleasanton School. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-214, approving plans and specifications and auth- <br /> orization to Call for Bids for removal of Berms "A", "B", and "C", and filling <br /> of Evaporation Pond and Sludge Bed removal on City of San Francisco Water De- <br /> partment property. <br /> <br /> <br />
