431 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 11, 1982 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Swift, Acting City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of <br />Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Glenn, Assistant Planner, Mr. Eastman, Chief of <br />Police, and Mrs. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 12a - Acceptance of Public Improvements for Tract <br />4432, Country Fair Unit No. 1 (continued from 4-27-82), be continued to the meeting <br />of May 25, 1982, as the necessary improvements have not yet been completed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated a letter had been received this date from Castlewood Properties, <br />Inc., requesting that item 8d - Application of Castlewood Properties and Kamp, Kral, <br />and Crouch for an amendment to the General Plan to change approximately sixteen acres <br />of land at the northeast corner of Oakland and Mohr Avenues from Medium Density Resi- <br />dential land use designation to the High Density Residential designation, and the <br />accompanying negative declaration, be continued to the next consideration of General <br />Plan amendments. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion <br />of this meeting to discuss pending litigation and personnel. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that the Minutes of April 20, 1982, be corrected <br />on page 4, inserting the name of Butler after "appointingCouncilmember" as Mayor <br />of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he would be voting No on item 4j - Approval of Fees <br />for Williamson Act. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 4-20-82 as corrected, 4-26-82, 4-27-82, <br /> and 5-3-82. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim May 9-15, 1982, as Community College Week. <br /> <br />c. Proclaim May 9-15, 1982, as Variety Club Week. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1036, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to fezone three parcels of land (Parcels A, B, and C, Parcel Map 2566) totalling <br /> approximately 16.7 acres from the I-G (General Industrial) District to the P.U.D. <br /> (Planned Unit Development) General and Limited Industrial District and that the <br /> <br /> <br />
