233 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 26, 1982 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll Which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Councilmember <br /> Kephart was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mro War- <br /> nick, Director of Public Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning <br /> and Community Development, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 8b - Application of Joe Madden for Planned Unit <br /> Development zoning (P.U.D. Commercial and Offices) and determination of uses allowed <br /> for an approximately 13.7 acre site located at the northwest corner of Stanley Boule- <br /> vard and First Street, and accompanying negative declaration, be continued to the <br /> meeting of February 9, 1982, at the request of the applicant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 8e - Appeal of Wild West Stores of a decision of <br /> the Design Review Board denying their application for a second wall sign on their <br /> store in the Best Plaza Shopping Center located at the northeast corner of Stone- <br /> ridge Drive and Springdale Avenue (continued Open from 1-12-82) be continued to the <br /> meeting of February 23, 1982, at the request of the appellant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss labor relations and personnel. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested that item 4c - Adoption of Ordinance No. 1016, approving <br />the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone two parcels totalling 14o5 acres <br />in the vicinity of 2820 Vineyard Avenue to PUD (Planned Unit Development) Residential <br />District (introduced January 12, 1982, by a vote of 5-Ayes), be removed from the Con- <br />sent Calendar and continued to the meeting of February 9, 1982. He stated 'there is <br />confusion regarding the zoning designation on this item. Council concurred° Mayor <br />Mercer instructed staff to notify the applicant and the concerned citizens regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler~ that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 12, 1982. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1015, approving the application of Stoneson Associates <br /> for Planned Unit Development-High Density Residential zoning on a 6.6 acre site <br /> located at the southwest corner of Stoneridge Drive and 1-680. <br /> <br />c. Continue to February 9, 1982, the adoption of Ordinance No. 1016, approving the <br /> application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone two parcels totalling 14.5 acres <br /> in the vicinity of 2820 Vineyard Avenue (eastern terminus of Chardonnay Drive) to <br /> PUD (Planned Unit Development) Residential District, for clarification of the zon- <br /> ing designation. <br /> <br /> <br />
