Adoption of Resolution No. 82-23, approving Final Map and Improvement Plans for <br /> Tract 4372, Carriage Gardens; and Quitclaim of Easement (recorded May 29, 1965, <br />~ Series No. AX 42234, for the purpose of permitting water to flow and drain and <br />T~ percolate), to Ernest E. and Irene F. Pestana. <br />CO g. Introduction of Ordinance No. 1018, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />C~ reading thereof, establishing the speed limit on Valley Avenue from Hopyard Road <br />~ to Hansen Drive at 35 MPH. <br /> <br /> h. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-24, accepting Grant Deed from Frank E. and Mary <br /> Betschart, for Peters Avenue construction, and authorizing the City officials <br /> to perform all acts necessary to effect the transfer of title. <br /> <br /> i. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-25, adopting the tie vote procedures for the April <br /> 1982 Municipal Election, to be "determination by lot". <br /> <br /> j. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-26, consolidating certain voting precincts within <br /> the City of Pleasanton for the upcoming Municipal Election on April 13, 1982, as <br /> follows: consolidate Precincts 52120, 52071, and 52072. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Mohr requested that the Staff Traffic Committee review the traffic <br /> problems at the intersection of Pico and First Street, with the possibility of plac- <br /> ing left turn lanes and and out to the new housing development in this area. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated that on February 4, 1982, the Board of Supervisors will <br /> be hearing an appeal regarding the gravel quarry on Foothill Road. She advised that <br /> one Supervisor is considering a compromise of a five year limit on the application. <br /> Councilmember Mohr requested a letter be sent to the Board of Supervisors reiterating <br /> the City of Pleasanton's opposition to approval of the gravel quarry, and opposition <br /> to any compromise relative to this application. Council concurred. The Mayor in- <br /> structed staff to prepare an appropriate letter for transmittal to the Board of Super- <br /> visors. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> 2. 1/26/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
