189 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> TttE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 28, 1982 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the Consent Calendar as follows: <br /> <br />item 4s - Acceptance of Easements from Hansen/Mix - Water Pipeline. <br /> <br /> ~. Walker stated that item 4n is being amended to add an Indemnity and Hold <br />Harmless Agreement in favor of the City of Oakland for motorcycle training for <br />Police Officer Bill Reynolds. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated he had received a request from Reynolds and Brown to remove <br />from the Consent Calendar item 41 - Acceptance of Public Improvements for Tract 4889, <br />Valley Business Park, and move it to item 12e on the agenda for discussion. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion <br />of this meeting to discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler stated that he had received a request to move item 13c - Resolution <br />amending Resolution of Necessity on Realignment of Johnson Drive west of Hopyard Road, <br />to be considered after Public Hearings on the agenda. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer asked if the motion made on September 14, 1982, as shown in <br />the Minutes, approving the Quail Creek Immobile Home Project for affordable housing <br />status, was valid in its list of necessary findings. Councilmember Mohr clarified <br />that her motion was intended to include findings. The City Attorney advised the <br />findings shown in the motion were those set forth at the meeting, that they are <br />sufficient under the requirements of the law, and that they satisfied the require- <br />ments of city ordinances. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the <br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for September 14, 1982. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-369, approving plans and specifications and <br /> authorization to advertise for bids for the reroofing of the Pleasanton Civic <br /> Center Building at 200 Bernal Avenue, and the Amador Park Aquatic Center Snack <br /> Bar at 4455 Black Avenue, Project No. 82-16. <br /> <br /> <br />
