317' "' <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 14, 1983 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer were present. Mayor Butler <br /> was absent due to military leave. Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director <br /> of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br /> ment, and Mrs. WaFner, Director of Finance, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Warnick requested that the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br /> item 4y - Appointment of David Richard Bigger to Minor Offense Court Advisory Board. <br /> item 4z - Grant Application; Park Restoration and Urban Reforestation. <br /> item 13b - Zone 7 Headquarters Site Agreement. <br /> <br /> Mr. Warnick advised that Holiday Inns has asked for a continuance of their item <br /> 8a to the meeting of July 12~ 1983. <br /> <br /> Mr. Warnick advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br />this meeting to discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 5-24-83. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim May 27 through September 5, 1983, as "Make It Click-Buckle Up and Drive <br /> Defensively". <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim June 14 through July 4, 1983, as a period to Honor America. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1086, approving the application of Kamp, Crouch, K~al, <br /> and Castlewood Properties, Inc., for PUD (Planned Unit Development) development <br /> plan approval for a 340 unit medium density residential project on approximately <br /> 60 acres located at the northeast corner of Oakland and Mohr Avenues. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1087, approving the application of the City of Pleasan- <br /> ton to prezone approximately one acre immediately to the west of the Vineyard Villa <br /> Home Park between Vineyard Avenue and the Arroyo del Valle to the PUD (.Planned Unit <br /> Development) High Density Residential District and to prezone approximately one <br /> acre immediately west to the extension of Pico (Vineyard) Avenue and immediately <br /> south of the Arroyo del Valle to R-1-6500 District. <br /> <br /> <br />
