MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October 30, 1984 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />CounciLmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, <br />and Mr. Stewart, Department of Building Inspection, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following three items be added to the Consent <br />Calendar: <br /> <br /> 411 - Grant of Easement to Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation <br /> District, Zone 7 - Zone 7 Administration Building. <br /> <br />4mm - Application of Club Hilton for Sewer Capacity. <br /> <br /> 4nn - Application of Parade Permit for Statue of Liberty Foundation Parade. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Maderia Drive, requested that item 4s - Proposed Resolution <br />to Remove Parking Restriction on Tawny Drive, be removed from the Consent Calendar and <br />continued to the next meeting for discussion. He stated that none of the residents on <br />Tawny Drive had been notified of this item. Council concurred. Councilmember Butler <br />stated there is also a traffic problem at the exit to the apartment complex on Tawny. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that the <br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 10-16-84. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim November 9-16, 1984, as AIDS Awareness Week. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1158, approving PUD-84-5, application of Chang Su-O Lin <br /> for rezoning and development plan approval for a 215 unit residential development <br /> on an approximately 230 acre site located generally in the area south of the south- <br /> ern terminus of Bernal Avenue, Concord Street, and Bordeaux Street. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1159, approving the application of Callahan Pentz Pro- <br /> perties and Valley Memorial Hospital for PUD rezoning to reconfigure the zoning of <br /> the approximately 62 acre site located at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road <br /> and West Las Positas Boulevard. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1160, approving the application of Prudential Insurance <br /> Company for PUD rezoning and development plan and sign program approval for a single- <br /> story, approximately 3,350 sq. ft., commercial structure and related facilities on <br /> the 0.64? acre site located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Owens <br /> Court and Owens Drive. <br /> <br /> <br />
