MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 27, 1984 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Councilmember <br />Mohr was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development, Mr. Eastman, Chief of Police, Mrs. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and <br />Human Resources, and Mrs. Wagner, Director of Finance, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be added to the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />item 4y - Proclaim April 8-14, 1984 as National Library Week. <br /> <br />item 4z - Proclaim Support of California Literacy Campaign. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be removed from the Consent Calendar: <br />item 4o - Approval of Agreements with CDM and Prudential Insurance Company. <br />item 4u - Agreement Establishing Lower Income Exemption - Doyle Heaton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated that letters have been received from the applicants of items 8c, <br />9e, and 9a, requesting that these items be continued. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br />this meeting to discuss pending litigation and labor relations. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that item 4x - Cable TV Franchise Renewal-Consultant <br />to Assist with Negotiations, be removed from the Consent Calendar and moved to item 12f <br />on the agenda, for discussion. Council concurred. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that the <br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 3-13-84. <br /> <br />b. Paoclaim April 1984 as Fair Housing Month. <br /> <br />c. Proclaim April 1984 as March of Dimes Month. <br /> <br />d. Proclaim April 8-14, 1984, as Private Property Week. <br /> <br /> <br />
