MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 13, 1984 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer were present. Mayor Butler <br /> was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, <br /> Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development, Mr. Eastman, Chief of Police, Mrs. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and <br /> Human Resources, and Mr. Klenk, Fire Marshal, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 4d - Adoption of Ordinance No. 1129, amending Title <br /> V, Chapter 5, Article 1, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to require <br /> trucks to use designated haul routes, be moved on the agenda to item 13a, for discus- <br /> sion. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that two items be added to the Consent Calendar as follows: <br /> <br /> item 4p - Approval of Final Map, improvement Plans, and Subdivision Agreement for <br /> Tract 5164, Valley Plaza Villages II. <br /> <br /> item 4q - Proclaim March 24, 1984, as Tri-Valtey Miles for Meals Day. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss pending litigation and labor relations. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr requested that the Minutes of the meeting of February 28, 1984, <br />be amended on page 7, to reflect her motion to amend the motion approving the appeal <br />of Wagerman, Black, Cartlidge, et al, and approving the application for PUD develop- <br />ment, to include the installation of curbs and gutters on the north side of Mohr Avenue. <br /> <br />CONSEIlT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 2-28-84, as amended. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim March 18-25, 1984, as DeMolay Week. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1127, amending Section 2-16.08 of Title II, Chapter 9, <br /> Article 1 of the City of Pleasanton Code, to remove the water service deposit. <br /> <br />d. Move to item 13a, Adoption of Ordinance No. 1129, amending Title V, Chapter 5, <br /> Article 1, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to require trucks to <br /> use designated haul routes. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution ~Io. 84-116, accepting Grant Deed from the Roman Catholic <br /> Bishop of Oakland for the construction of the Bernal Avenue Underpass at the <br /> <br /> <br />
