337 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 2, 1985 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Councilmember <br />Mohr was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. War- <br />nick, Director of Public Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br />item 41 - Resolution Supporting Designation of Valley Memorial Hospital as an ALS <br /> Base Station Hospital. <br /> <br />item 4m - Resolution of Intention to Participate in Planning and Construction of a <br /> Long Term Wastewater Export Project. <br /> <br />item 12c- Approval of Agreement - Zone 7 Headquarters Site and Common Improvements. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised that item 8b - Appeal of Robert Berkey, would be continued to <br />the meeting of April 16, 1985, at the requestof the appellant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br />this meeting to discuss labor relations. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Proclaim April 1985 as Child Abuse Prevention MOnth, and April 14-20, 1985 as <br /> Victims' Rights Week. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim April 14-20, 1985 as National Library Week in Pleasanton. <br />c. Proclaim April 20-27, 1985 as Week of the Young Child. <br />d. Proclaim the Month of May 1985 as Deaf Awareness Month. <br />e. Proclaim April 28-May 4, 1985 as Private Property Week~ <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 85-167, approving final map, improvement plans, and <br /> subdivision agreement for Tract 5229, Parkside, Unit 4 - Emerald American Corp- <br /> oration, and authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate city <br /> officials. <br /> <br /> <br />
