Adoption of Resolution No. 85-174, a resolution of intention to participate in the <br /> planning and construction of a long term wastewater export project. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMDBERS <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that the speed limit approximately 300 feet before <br /> the intersection on Santa Rita Road at McDonalds Restaurant is posted at 55 MPH, which <br /> he felt is excessive. He requested staff to investigate this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested staff to prepare a report on East Bay Regional Park Dis- <br /> trict's proposed plans to take overthe ridgelands for a park; so that Council can <br /> take a position on this issue. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COmmITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Richard Rebholz, 1951 Foxswallow Circle, stated he continues to have problems <br /> resulting from the Village Plaza Apartments behind his residence: people climbing on <br /> the walls behind his home; garbage thrown into his backyard; cars using the apartment <br /> driveway for U-turns; not enough protection between his home and the apartments; and <br /> street light shining into his bedrooms (he stated this. matter has been resolved). <br /> Mayor Mercer instructed staff to investigate these problems. Mr. Rebholz stated that <br /> the left turn on Valley Avenue off Hopyard signal light only allows for about five <br /> cars to go through before a signal change. Mr. Warnick advised that the signal ad- <br /> justs for traffic according to the computer monitoring, but that he would investigate <br /> this situation to see if it is monitored properly. <br /> <br /> 2. 4/2/85 <br /> <br /> <br />
