MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 15, 1986 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br />.... Mayor' Frank C. Brandes, Jr., called the Regular Meeting of the City Coun- <br /> cil to order at 8:00 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as fol- <br /> lows: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes were present. <br /> Councilmember Mercer was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, <br /> City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development, and <br /> Mr. Okamura, Acting Director of Public Works and Utilities, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENlS <br />Cv) Mr. Walker requested that the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br />(Z)') 12c-5 Fire and Life Safety Inspection Pleasanton Police Holding Room; <br /> <br />Iml 12c-6 Minor Change to Consultant Agreement with Camp, Dresser & McKee, Inc.- <br />C)') North Pleasanton Water Assessment District; <br /> <br /> 13a - Draft Valley Avenue Extension Agreement (Kaiser Sand and Gravel Co.). <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 12b - Recommendation Regarding the Alloca- <br /> tion of Funds to Purchase Relocatable Child Care Facilities to be used for <br /> School Age Child Care, be removed from the agenda. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclu- <br />.... sion of this meeting to discuss the Ralls case, labor relations, and <br /> personnel. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 4-1-86. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim May 18-24, 1986 as Pleasanton Traffic Safety Week. <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim June 14, 1986 as National Flag Day. <br /> <br /> d. Adoption of Resolution No. 86-144, proclaiming April 1986 as Child Abuse <br /> Prevention Month and April 20 through 26, 1986 as Victims' Rights Week, <br /> <br /> e.Adoption of Resolution No. 86-145, authorization for the Department of <br /> General Services of the State of California to purchase certain items. <br /> <br /> f.Adoption of Resolution No. 86-146, approving Claims for the month of March <br /> 1986, in the amount of $3,741,306.77. <br /> <br /> <br />
