MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 19, 1988 <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> The Executive Session regarding labor relations and employee <br /> evaluation, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., this date, was cancelled. <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br /> City Council to order at 8:00 p.m. Webelo Boy Scout Troup 901 <br /> led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is re- <br />corded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, <br />and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. <br />MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities, Mr. Eastman, Police Chief, and Mr. Lee, Principle <br />Planner, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker noted that two items had been added to the agenda <br />by addendum as follows: <br /> <br />item 5c - Review of LAFCO's staff recommendations of Pleasanton's <br /> Sphere of Influence <br /> <br />item 13c- City Council Review of Appeal of Cardroom License Revo- <br /> cation for Pastime Pool (Jay Nelson) <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be continued to <br />the meeting of February 2, 1988: <br /> <br />item 9e - Resolutions Making Application to LAFCO and Agreeing to <br /> the Exchange of Property Tax Revenue and Initiating <br /> Prezoning for Annexation No. 120 (Harris) <br /> <br />item 13b- Annual Meeting of Board of Director of Pleasanton Link, <br /> Inc. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested that item 4b - Adoption of Ordinance <br />No. 1350, Approval of RZ-87-11, Application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to prezone an approximately 10.8 acre site located on <br />the south side of Stanley Boulevard immediately west of Shadow <br />Cliffs Regional Park to the CS (Commercial Service) District, be <br />continued until after installation of the stop signs at Foothill <br />Road and Bernal Avenue.
