219 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> JANUARY 17, 1989 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br /> City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is <br /> recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, <br /> Tarver, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, <br /> Mr. Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br /> Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br /> Utilities, Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, and Mr. Lee, <br /> Principal Planner, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the following item has been removed <br /> from the agenda: <br /> <br /> item 5d - Minor Modification to PUD-84-5-2M, Kottinger Ranch, <br /> Westbrook Housing Group. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the following items on the agenda <br /> have been continued: <br /> <br /> item 9b - Joint Public Hearing with Community Development Agency <br /> on Redevelopment Plan and Final Environmental Impact <br /> Report, continued to February 21, 1989. <br /> <br /> item 9c - PUD-80-16-3D, Application of Pactel Properties for <br /> development plan approval to construct a multi-building <br /> approximately 103,160 sq. ft. retail commercial complex <br /> to be located on an approximately 9.75 acre site <br />- generally in the area bounded by Hopyard Road, <br /> Stoneridge Drive, Franklin Drive, and Johnson Drive, <br /> continued to February 7, 1989. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that item 4h - Approval of <br /> Service Contract with Alameda County Library System to Operate the <br /> Pleasanton Library, be removed from the Consent Calendar and moved <br /> on the agenda to item 12c, to allow for discussion. Council <br /> concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he felt item 4q - Approval of <br /> Agreement with MacKay & Somps for Precise Alignment Study for <br /> Foothill Road from Stoneridge to Bernal Avenue, is premature and <br /> should not be considered until after a decision is made on the TMI <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
