<br /> CALL TO ORDER
<br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the
<br /> City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of
<br /> Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is
<br /> recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr,
<br /> Tarver, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager,
<br /> Mr. Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and
<br /> Community Development, and Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works
<br /> and Utilities, and Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, were
<br /> present.
<br />
<br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 4d - Approval of Plans and
<br /> Specifications for the Construction of Portions of the Interchange
<br /> at Stoneridge Drive and 1-680 within Caltrans' Right-of-Way, be
<br /> removed from the agenda, at the request of staff on advice from
<br /> the Bond Counsel.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Walker stated that the City Attorney has requested a
<br /> Closed Session be held at this meeting.
<br />
<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by
<br /> Councilmember Mohr, that the following items listed on the Consent
<br /> Calendar, as amended, be approved:
<br />
<br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 12-20-88.
<br />
<br /> b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1392, establishing speed limits on
<br /> Owens Drive between Hopyard Road and West Las Positas
<br /> Boulevard and on Rosewood Drive between Owens Drive and Santa
<br /> Rita Road.
<br />
<br /> c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1393, amending Sections 3.24.050,
<br /> 20.16,030, 20.16.040, 20.16.050, 20.16,060, 20.16,070,
<br /> 20.16,090, 20.20,030, 20.20,040, 20.20.050, 20.20,060,
<br /> 20.20,070, 20.20,090, 20.36,030, 20.36.040, and 20.40,030 of
<br /> the Pleasanton Municipal Code, concerning the
<br /> responsibilities of the Building Inspection Department.
<br />
<br />d. Remove from the agenda, Approval of plans and specifications
<br /> for the construction of portions of the interchange at
<br /> Stoneridge Drive and 1-680 within Caltrans' right-of-way,
<br />
