181 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> JULY 18, 1989 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, <br />Tarver, and Mayor Mercer. Staff members present were: Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager; Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Mr. <br />Roush, City Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities; Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services; <br />Ms. Rossi, Director of Finance. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested the following item be removed from the <br />Agenda at the request of the applicants: <br /> <br />Item 6a - Report on Closure of Blacow Street at the North Side of <br /> Valley Avenue. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker pointed out two other amendments that have already <br />been reflected in the Agenda and Addendum, respectively: <br /> <br />Item 6g - AP-89-6, Appeal of decision of the Design Review Board <br /> denying approval of Case Z-88-581, Application of <br /> Burger King Corporation for design review approval to <br /> install an internally-illuminated monument identifica- <br /> tion sign at an existing shopping center located on the <br /> northeast corner of Hopyard Road and Owens Drive - <br /> continued to August 15, 1989. <br /> <br />Item 8d - Reconsideration of Action Taken to Adopt Resolution No. <br /> 89-280, Denying PUD-85-8-4D, Retail Commercial Complex <br /> in Hacienda Business Park - added to Agenda. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that just before the meeting, a citizen <br />requested that Item 6b - Review cf the Report of the Stoneridge <br />Drive Committee - Stoneridge Specific Plan, be continued to the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles Suhay, 3958 Eilene Court, indicated that the <br />Citizens Committee needed more time to look over the Specific <br />Plan, get the Committee together and come up with suggestions. <br /> <br /> -!- <br /> <br /> <br />
