MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> SPECIAL <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 24, 1999 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff <br />members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Steve Bocian, Assistant City Manager; <br />Michael Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; and B ill van Gelder, Traffic Engineer. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Michelotti was absent and excused. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said Item 4f, amendment to referendum petition resolution concerning who may <br />sign rebuttal arguments, was added to the agenda after it was posted. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following actions be <br />taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />a. Authorize the City officials to send letters opposing Senate Bill (SB) 48. (SR99:61) <br /> <br />b. Commend Bryan V. Gibb, a teacher at Amador Valley High School, and the instructor of <br /> Amador Valley High School's Competition Civics Class which has received two second- <br /> place awards and one third-place award in the State of Califomia competitions and <br /> recognize his love for his profession and his hard work, dedication and appreciation by his <br /> students. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 03/24/99 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
