Adopt Resolution No. 99-029, objecting to County sale of tax defaulted property <br /> (Kottinger Drive - APN 094-0021-011-00) and finding that the property is needed for <br /> public use by the City of Pleasanton. (SR99:091) <br /> <br />f. Adopt Resolution No. 99-030, amending Resolution No. 99-020, to provide that persons <br /> different than those who signed the primary arguments may sign the rebuttal arguments. <br /> (SR99:87) <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers- Ayala, Dennis, Pico, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: CouncilmemberMichelotti. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Robert Cordtz, 262 West Angela, said on behalf of TNT the fence that was promised by <br />the Council is still not in place. He also mentioned that the City of Livermore Police and Fire <br />Departments are in the process of starting an operation lifesaver and will be upgrading the <br />railroad fight-of-way. He said the area had not been cleaned up and he had concerns about the <br />West Angela grade crossing. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if he felt there was a necessity for a fence. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cordtz said absolutely. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lum said there has been difficulty in installing the fence because the existing fences <br />are on the property line and the City is not allowed to encroach onto the railroad fight-of-way. <br />The City is in the process of meeting with each individual property owner to acquire access to <br />construct the fence. <br /> <br /> Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, objected to comments made in a newspaper article <br />by an elected official asking the City to pay for legal expenses in support of the Zone 7 <br />initiative. As a taxpayer he objected to the City helping an initiative in a financial way. He did <br />not want to contribute taxpayers dollars to political initiatives.
