MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 21, 1994 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Rebecca L. Dennis called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Opening Comments: Ms. Dennis congratulated and thanked the Centennial Committee for the <br />June 18th & 19th Centennial parade/event. She especially thanked the Centennial Steering <br />Committee and major sponsors. Ms. Dennis also read a letter that Council had received <br />expressing appreciation for the Centennial event, as well as for the City's progress and beauty. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hirst thanked City Council and staff for its support. Mr. Hirst introduced Jan <br />Batchellor and Sharrell Michelotti and thanked both of them for their dedication and hard work <br />for this event. <br /> <br /> Sharrell Michelotti, 7873 Olive Court, noted that she had received many comments at <br />the event about how beautiful Main Street and the City of Pleasanton are. <br /> <br /> Council and the audience sang "Happy Birthday" to Pleasanton and to Ms. Scribner, who <br />was also having a birthday. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Vice Mayor <br />Rebecca L. Dennis, Karin Mohr, Thomas P. Pico Jr., and Dorothy N. Scribner. Staff members <br />present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. <br />Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall L. Lum, Director of Public <br />Works; Dolores Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services Department; George <br />Withers, Fire Chief; and Susan Rossi, Director of Finance. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver was absent and excused. <br /> <br />06/21/94 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
