MINUTES
OF
THE
MEETING
OF
THE CITY COUNCIL

February 21, 1995

1. CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:03 p.m.
and Councilmember Becky Dennis led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She commented
on the observance of Presidents' Week and acknowledged the accomplishments of individuals.
She also commended those who have served their country but may not be remembered except
in the history books.

2. ROLL CALL

City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows:
Councilmembers present were Rebecca L. Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Karin Mohr, Thomas P.
Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager;
Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift,
Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works;
Susan Rossi, Director of Finance; Steve Cusenza, Deputy Director of Utilities; and Dolores
Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services.

3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS

Item 7n (Appointment of Housing Authority Commissioners) was continued to March 7,
1995.

There was a request from Parkway Properties (Koll Center) to continue the discussion
regarding the North Pleasanton Community Park because it had not had enough time to review
the staff report.

Ms. Acosta indicated no decisions on these items are requested from Council at this
meeting. This is an extremely complex subject and there will be more meetings. It would be
very useful to staff for Council to begin the public discussion this evening and indicate whether
it believes staff is working in the right direction.

02/21/95
1-
