PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2140 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE <br />MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASES <br />GP-82-2 AND RZ-82-1, DEVCON DEVELOPMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Oakland and Devcon Development, <br />Inc. have applied to amend the General Plan designation of <br />an approximately 3.9 acre parcel of land located on the east <br />side of Santa Rita Road approximately 250 ft. north of its <br />intersection with the tracks of the Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company from Medium Density Residential to <br />General and Limited Industrial and to rezone said property <br />from the "A" (Agricultural) to the I-P (Industrial Park) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of February 10, 1982 the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed mitigated negative declaration for <br />cases GP-82-2 and RZ-82-1; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the Initial Study <br />dated February 1, 1982 and received the recommendations <br />of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on February 10, <br />1982 for review of the proposed rezoning and general plan <br />changes as well as the negative declaration; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of mitigated <br />negative declarations and environmental impact reports; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there might be significant impacts upon the environ- <br />ment but that conditions of project approval would reduce <br />those impacts to insignificant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the mitigated negative declaration <br />for the general plan amendment and rezoning application <br />regarding the approximately 3.9 acre parcel of land located <br />on the east side of Santa Rita Road approximately 250 ft. <br />north of its intersection with the tracks of the Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company. <br />
