PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 2588
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING A CHANGE IN OPEN SPACE FOR THE
CORK HARBOUR DEVELOPMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-79-11,
MODIFICATION 4M
WHEREAS, Cork Harbour has applied for a major modification to
case PUD-79-11, the planned unit development for the 79
unit Cork Harbour single-family residential project on
the 32.4 acre site bounded by Pleasanton School Upper
Playfield, Bernal Avenue and the residences on the south
side of Angela Street and on the west side of Mirador
Drive; and
WHEREAS, at their meeting of October 24, 1984, the Planning
Commission was given a copy of a site plan which
reflected the maximum reduction of the Cork Harbour open
space area which would still allow all required City
access to the sewer and storm lines within the area; and
WHEREAS, the plan showed a fencing layout which would greatly
increase the private yard areas of several of the lots
bordering the open space area. According to the plan
the City would retain a 15 ft. wide public service
easement over the sewer and storm lines in the open
space area. Fencing would be constructed in such a way
that the City would have access to all of the manholes
in the sewer line and the storm inlet in two of the
three catch basins in the storm line. This would be
sufficient for the City to properly maintain both of the
lines. The fences which would cross the 15 ft. wide
P.S.E. would be designed in such a manner that water
from heavy storm would flow through or beneath them; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 9, 1985
the Planning Commission received a copy of a letter by
Cork Harbour which incorporates most of the recommended
conditions of approval of case PUD-79-11-4M. This
letter is signed by all affected property owners and was
presented to the Commission at this meeting; and
WHEREAS, after deliberation, the Planning Commission instructed
the City Staff to obtain the signature of an officer of
Cork Harbour prior to being considered by the City
Council.
~~ NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
