No. 1086 <br />Commissioners Present: Hirst, Pereira, Pons <br />Wood and Chairman Carrigan. <br />Commissioners Absent: None. <br />The minutes of the meetings of April 13 and <br />April 27, 1971, were approved as submitted. <br />Add: 7a - Besco's PUD on Santa Rita Road, <br />clarification of the size of the specimen <br />trees for the park areas. <br />Add: lla - Referral from City Council on <br />Edward Schlies. <br />Singer Housing Company - Application for a <br />conditional use permit to allow the construe <br />tion and operation of an ARCO service statio <br />on the northwesterly corner of Hopyard Road <br />and West Las Positas Boulevard, in a C-N <br />(Commercial Neighborhood) District, Pleasant <br />The Public Hearing was opened by Chairman <br />Carrigan. <br />It was explained that this service station <br />will be leased out to Atlantic Richfield, bu <br />ownership will be retained by Singer Housing <br />Present to speak for this application, was <br />Mr. Edwin Raphel, of Singer Housing Company. <br />The anchor tenant for this shopping center <br />site will be Lucky Stores. <br />Reference was made to an agreement noted <br />under Annexation ~~53, whereby the City agre <br />to allow a service station on that shopping <br />center site. <br />The Chairman noted the lack of conditions <br />for this service station approval and felt <br />that, for greater control, most of the con- <br />ditions of approval should be noted at the <br />time of approval for the conditional use <br />permit. <br />Resolution: <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />i.Abstain: <br />- 1 - <br />
