They are <br />as follows: <br />Les Morgan, Shell Station at Amador Shopping <br />Center on Santa Rita Road. Felt there are <br />enough service stations to serve the area <br />at this time. Felt a temporary moratorium <br />on service stations should be imposed until <br />the growth in population warranted additions <br />service stations. <br />Mr. Mike Hemp, Shell Station at Hopyard and <br />West Las Positas Boulevard. This gentleman <br />has the station on the opposite corner from <br />the proposed site by Singer Housing. He <br />opposes this application. <br />Mrs. Robert Mohr, 3548 Glacier Court South, <br />a resident of the City. She agreed with <br />the position taken by the service station <br />owners that more stations at this time shoul <br />be discouraged. <br />Mr. Rollie Freitas, resident, also objected <br />to this application. <br />Shell <br />Mr. Russ Jones, owner of~station at X580 <br />and Hopyard. He too felt that this applica- <br />tion would be detrimental to the business <br />of the existing service stations. <br />Some discussion followed between the City <br />Attorney and the Commissioners on the moral <br />obligation the City has to live up to the <br />agreement made for an additional service <br />station at this center as noted under <br />Annexation X53. Mr. Raphel defended his <br />overall development. <br />Commissioners Pons and Wood opposed the <br />applica tion. <br />- 2 - <br />
