4y~~,8ANTOy <br />CITY o~ PLEASANTON <br />~~ ~~;. <br />.° <br />`~~°t Planning Commission <br />xxso t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />~~t8 ; March 14, 1972 <br />Time ; s:oo PM <br />Pla C@; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />ROLL CALL <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />REVISIONS AND <br />OMISSIONS TO THE <br />AGENDA <br />MATTERS FOR <br />COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />Z-71-102, Approved <br />Commissioners Present: Hirst, Pereira, Pons,' <br />Wood and Chairman Ga rriga n. <br />Commissioners Absent: None. <br />The minutes of the Planning Commission meet- <br />ings of February 8, 15 and 22, 1972, were <br />approved as submitted. <br />Mr. Castro advised the Commission that he <br />will have an added item for discussion under <br />Matters for Information of Commission. <br />Elderly Housing Project at Kottinger Village <br />(Materials and finish and lighting program) <br />Chairman Garrigan brought this matter before <br />the Commission, which was discussed at this <br />time. <br />In reviewing the staff report, Commissioner <br />Hirst noted that the staff had some reser- <br />vations regarding the outdoor lighting <br />(fixtures. <br />'~,Mr. Aiello, Senior Planner, explained to the <br />(Commission that although their approach to <br />outdoor lighting by placing the lights in <br />some of the mature trees on the grounds is <br />a fresh idea, the fixtures themselves appear <br />to be very austere and institutionalized. <br />The applicant has been very cooperative in <br />working with the staff, but in this matter, <br />they preferred to bring it before the <br />Commission. <br />Mr. Dean Wise, Housing Authority Commissioner <br />was present representing the applicant.
