No. 1281 <br />Commissioners Present: Carrigan, <br />Wood and Chairman Pereira. <br />Commissioner McLain arrived at <br />8:35 P.M. <br />Commissioners Absent: Pons <br />No minutes were rresented. <br />Presentation of final alternatives of <br />the Livermore-Pleasanton BART Exten- <br />sion Study. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Chairman Pereira announced to those <br />assembled the purpose for the meeting <br />:which was to make the choice of a <br />final alternative for the BART route <br />(through Pleasanton. <br />'He then introduced Mr. John Blayney <br />~of Livingston & Blayney, and Mr. Hans <br />~Korve of DeLeuw Cather Company, con- <br />sultants for BART. He invited parti- <br />icipation from the audience. Mr. <br />Pereira further stated that several <br />:meetings, to gather citizen comments <br />concerning the alternate routes, ~' <br />shave been held in the previous weeks <br />Viand this series of meetings culminate <br />ja year-long study by BART's consultan' <br />IMr. Blayney made the first presenta- <br />tion. He utilized maps which deline- <br />ated in different colors the various <br />,alternatives to be considered. <br />'For the Pleasanton area, the route <br />;would either come down the San Ramon <br />corridor along I-680, or easterly <br />;along the Dublin Canyon route.
