MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />December 8, 1976 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairman Butler called the meeting to order at 9:03 P.M., and the Pledge <br />of Allegiance was then recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood and Chairman <br />Butler. Commissioners Absent: None. Staff Members Present: Bob Harris, <br />Don Sooby, Harvey Levine, Recording Secretary Yvonne McFadden. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the October 13, 1976 meeting and the November 3, 1976 meeting <br />were approved as submitted. For the November 10, 1976 minutes, there was <br />an omission of the Roll Call Vote on Page 2 for Case RZ-76-21, relating <br />to the action of the Planning Commission to place into the HPD District <br />approximately 120 acres on the west side of Foothill Road near Bernal Avenue. <br />This correction being noted, the minutes of the November 10, 1976 meeting <br />were approved as corrected. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Secretary Harris requested the following modifications to the agenda: <br />5a - RZ-76-22, Mission Hill property. The property owner has requested a <br />continuance to the January 12, 1977 meeting. <br />5b - UP-76-29, Douglas Huntze - this matter has to be continued until the <br />environmental impact report is submitted, following upholding of the appeal <br />against the negative declaration by City Council on December 6, 1976. <br />5e - GP-76-6, Thomas K. McManus, continue to January 12, 1977, pending <br />receipt of the environmental impact report, which City Council indicated <br />must be prepared for this application. <br />7d - Design and location of BART bus shelters. Modify to add review of <br />benches to be donated by the Soroptimist Club. <br />The Commission agreed to the continuances and the review of the benches under <br />7d. <br />UP-76-30, Earl Adams - application for a conditional use permit to allow <br />the construction and use of a building for commercial service purposes at <br />3675 Santa Rita Road. The new structure would be located between Santa <br />Rita Road and the existing building on the lot. Zoning for the property <br />is C-S (Commercial Service) District. <br />Secretary Harris reviewed the staff report, requesting some modifications <br />to the conditions for approval - #17, regarding an agreement approved by <br />the City pertaining to maintenance of all landscaping on the entire 2.1 <br />acres owned by the applicant. This was necessary because the existing land- <br />scaping for- their b~~lding at X675 Santa Rita Road is not being maintained <br /> <br />
