MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />April 10, 1978 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The special meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order by <br />Chairman Butler at 7:00 P.M. <br />RC)T.T. C`AT.T. <br />Commissioners Present: Jamieson, <br />Commissioners Absent: Doherty <br />Staff Members Present: Robert Ha <br />Community <br />Attorney; <br />Services; <br />Shepherd, Chairman Butler <br />rris, Director of Planning and <br />Development; Harvey Levine, City <br />Don Sooby, Director of Engineering <br />Yvonne McFadden, Recording Secretary. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the March 8, 1978, meeting were approved as submitted. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Secretary Harris requested the following revisions: he stated that the <br />attorney for the property owner on Case RZ-77-16, prezoning of 13.6 acres <br />on Stanley Boulevard, requested a continuance to the May meeting because <br />he could not be present to represent the property owner. He indicated <br />that the Department of Motor Vehicles conditional use permit needed to be <br />postponed until June because the State did not have their plans ready to <br />be submitted. <br />He asked that Item 7c, review of request from Mission Park Homeowners <br />Association to conduct a study to rezone undeveloped land in the Mission <br />Park area, be continued until the April 12 Planning Commission meeting, as <br />requested by Mr. Bob Grove, President of the Homeowners group. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />RZ-77-23, Planning Commission - Application for an amendment to Article 16, <br />Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton which <br />would modify the off-street parking requirements for medical and dental <br />offices and other health facilities. <br />Secretary Harris gave a brief description of the staff report for the <br />April 10, 1978 meeting, and touched upon the background of this review. He <br />stated that two draft ordinances were attached - Alternate A would allow the <br />Zoning Administrator to determine, upon analysis of the specific situation, <br />the number of parking spaces that use would be required to provide. The <br />second draft ordinance (B) spells out the specific number of spaces which <br />would be required for medical/surgical facilities. Staff recommendation <br />was for Alternative A~ <br /> <br />
