S <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />July 12, 1978 <br />s:oo Prz <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />was called to order at 9:00 P.r~. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Doherty, Leppert, Getty, Wilson, Chairman <br />Jamieson. <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Harvey Levine, City <br />Attorney; Alan Campbell, Director of Public <br />Works & Utilities; Yvonne r4cFadden, Recording <br />Secretary. <br />Council Members Present: Stan Kephart, Liaison. <br />APPROVAL OF r'~INUTES <br />Commissioner Do erty wished to correct comments attributed to him on Page 3 <br />of the minutes of the special meeting of May 25, 1978. The intent of his <br />comments were that it would be a business decision on the Dart of the <br />developer to establish specialty shops in that shopping center. This <br />correction noted, the minutes of the May 25, 1978 special meeting were <br />approved. <br />The minutes of the June 14, 1978, meeting were approved as submitted. <br />REVISIONS AND Or!!ISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Secretary Harris requested the following modifications to the agenda: <br />Continue - Item 5e. r4S-78-10, Harry Hempy - to August 9, 1978. <br />Continue - Item 6b. RZ-77-19, City Council (uses in the C-C District) - to <br />August 9, 1978. <br />Continue - Item 7a. Review of Ord. Amendment for off-site advertising <br />signs for commercial/industrial properties - to August 9, 1978. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />RZ-77-16, City of Pleasanton - application fo the City of Pleasanton to rezone <br />a 13.6 acre parcel of land located on the north side of Stanley Boulevard <br />bounded on the north by the Western Pacific Railroad and on the east by the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad to the C-S (Commercial Service) District or any <br />other zoning district whi::h the City finds to be appropriate and in confor- <br />mance with the General Plan. <br />Secretary Harris described the staff report. Mr. Bill Hirst, attorney for <br />the property owner, Joseph madden, sent a letter to the City dated July 6, <br />1978, requesting that his property be prezoned to the City's A (Agricultural) <br />District. Accordingly, staff has analyzed this request and prepared a <br />report concurring with this request. <br />
