MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds <br />Wednesday <br />December 12, 1979 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Doherty called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was then recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Ken Leppert, Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, <br />DeWitt Wilson and Gregg Doherty <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Walt Schaumburg, <br />Associate Civil Engineer; and Shirley <br />McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Members Present: None <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of November 1, 1979 were approved as submitted. <br />Robert E. Weber wrote a letter to the Chairperson requesting that <br />Page 5, Line 3, GP-79-19, Ponderosa "Del Prado" be changed to <br />"Ponderosa" and Page 6, Line 2 be changed from "25" to "60" years <br />concerning the minutes of November 14, 1979. The Chairperson directed <br />the clerk to verify these and report back at the next Planning Com- <br />mission meeting. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF T~iE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COP~IMISSION <br />No one spoke. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE' AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated he had received a communication from Attorney Bell <br />representing the owners of the property on Black Avenue, RZ-79-23 (6E) <br />requesting this item be continued to the next regular Planning Com- <br />mission meeting. The Commission agreed to this request. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Wi son stated he woul like the regular Planning Com- <br />mission meeting of January to be held January 16 with Design Review <br />Board and Board of Adjustment meetings to be held January 17, if <br />possible, inasmuch as he will be on vacation January 9 and 10, 1980. <br />The Commission agreed to this request. <br />Chairperson Geppert presented a letter from Lynnewood United Methodist <br />Church regarding various concerns about the community including the <br />availability of certain kinds of housing. He asked the clerk to <br />distribute copies to the Commission as well as to Phil Cooper of the <br />Human Services Commission. He further requested that copies of com- <br />munications from the League of Women Voters be circulated; and that <br />concerning the Joint Pleasanton-Livermore Planning Commission meeting, <br />we still have not heard from Livermore concerning the date and time <br />proposed. <br />
