THE CITY OF 1 O <br />~'L£~S~4NTON~ CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />April 17, 2007 <br />Parks and Community Services <br />TITLE: APPROVAL OF CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR $25,500 WITH KELLER <br />MITCHELL & CO., LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, TO PROVIDE <br />CONSULTING SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A MASTER PLAN <br />FOR THE GINGERBREAD PRESCHOOL PLAY YARD <br />SUMMARY <br />As part of the FY 2006/07 Mid Term Budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP), <br />the City Council approved $45,000 for consultant services to develop a Master Plan for <br />renovation of the Gingerbread Preschool Play Yard. <br />In January 2007, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was distributed to ten (10) Bay Area <br />landscape architecture firms to develop the Master Plan. Two (2) proposals were <br />received by the February 23, 2007 deadline, and interviews were completed on March <br />12, 2007. It was determined that Keller Mitchell & Co. was most suited for the project, <br />and the firm submitted a written quote for all required work ($25,500), including any <br />additional meetings and reimbursable expenses. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />That the City Manager be authorized to execute the attached Agreement with Keller <br />Mitchell & Co. to develop a Master Plan for the Gingerbread Preschool Play Yard. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />This contract for services is for a not-to-exceed amount of $25,500, including <br />reimbursable expenses for graphic materials, reproducibles, etc., and any additional <br />meetings. Sufficient project funds are allocated in the Capital Improvement Program <br />(CIP) Project No. 067015. <br />
