CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-17 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REPORTING <br /> OF THE CITY' S PAYMENT OF CERTAIN <br /> EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTIONS AS <br /> SPECIAL COMPENSATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has the authority to implement Government Code <br /> Section 20023(c)(4) pursuant to Government Code Section 20615; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has a written labor policy and agreements which <br /> specifically provide for the inclusion of normal member contributions paid <br /> by the employer on behalf of the members as additional compensation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to implement section 20023(c)(4) the governing body of the City of <br /> Pleasanton must adopt a resolution giving notice of its intention to <br /> commence reporting the value of employer paid member contributions a <br /> compensation for all members of a group or class; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a statement of the proposed change in reporting <br /> compensation to PERS: <br /> <br /> the City of Pleasanton elects to pay seven percent of employees' <br /> compensation earnable as Employer Paid Member Contributions and report <br /> the same percent (value) of compensation earnable (excluding Government <br /> Code Section 20023(c)(4) as additional compensation. This benefit shall <br /> apply to all miscellaneous category employees in position/classifications <br /> included in the bargaining group represented by the Pleasanton City <br /> Employees Association; and <br /> <br /> the City of Pleasanton elects to pay nine percent of employees' <br /> compensation earnable as Employer Paid Member Contributions and report <br /> the same percent (value) of compensation earnable (excluding Government <br /> Code Section 20023(c)(4) as additional compensation. This benefit shall <br /> apply to all police public safety employees in position/classifications <br /> included in the bargaining group represented by the Pleasanton Police <br /> Officers Association; and <br /> <br /> <br />
