CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 95-08 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, on December 15, 1992, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 93-230 creating the Economic Development Advisory Committee and set forth its role and scope; and WHEREAS, on August 17, 1993, the City Council adopted Resolution 93-111 clarifying the role and scope of the Economic Development Advisory Committee and making the appointments to the Committee; and WHEREAS, the Economic Development Advisory Committee has been working to meet its mission and has developed an Economic Development Strategic Plan which was adopted by the City Council on July 5, 1994; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the recommendations of the Economic Development Advisory Committee to adopt a set of procedures which refine its role and scope, and address issues important to continued successful operation of the Economic Development Advisory Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council does hereby establish the Economic Development Advisory Committee which shall serve as follows: a. The mission of the Economic Development Advisory Committee shall be to assess the current and ongoing business climate in the City of Pleasanton and to offer suggestions and submit recommendations to the City Council intended to maintain a strong economic development base in the City. b. The Committee will focus on general economic trends, issues and governmental processes in an attempt to identify opportunities to assist and promote economic development in the City of Pleasanton.
