<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-16 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE CEQA FINDINGS, <br />RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF A STATEMENT OF OVERRIDING <br />CONSIDERATION FOR POTENTIAL IMPACT, AND RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF ALAMEDA COUNTY, AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE SP A-95-01 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Alameda County has applied to modify the adopted Stoneridge Drive Specific <br />Plan to reduce the amount of commercial acreage from 103 acres to <br />approximately 40 acres, add 45 acres of new residential land uses at the Medium <br />Density Residential range (2-8 units per acre), and relocate and expand the <br />17-acre active use community park to a 33-acre community sports park located <br />west ofEl Charro Road, south ofInterstate 1-580, east of the California Somerset <br />and California Place neighborhoods, and north of the Kaiser Sand and Gravel site; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was called and duly noticed for February 12, 1997, at which time <br />the Planning Commission reviewed and considered the information contained in <br />the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the application would be in <br />conformance with the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the EIR indicates significant environmental effects would result from the project, <br />as summarized in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Findings, <br />made part of this case by reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CEQA and local EIR guidelines adopted pursuant thereto require the Planning <br />Commission to make specific findings where an EIR identifies one or more <br />significant effects which may result from approval of the project; and <br />
