<br />Resolution No. PC-97-16 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing the facts and considerations summarized in the "CEQA Findings <br />and Statement of Overriding Considerations" and "Environmental Impact <br />Mitigation Monitoring Program," supporting these findings, the Planning <br />Commission finds that the potentially significant environmental effects either (1) <br />have been mitigated by project conditions of approval or modifications made to <br />the project during the review process, (2) require mitigation by another public <br />agency having jurisdiction, or (3) cannot be mitigated except by mitigation <br />measures or alternatives found to be infeasible given economic, social, <br />environmental, and other considerations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that although most significant environmental <br />effects have been reduced to a level of insignificance, the remaining, unavoidable, <br />significant environmental effects are acceptable because the project's economic, <br />social, environmental, and other benefits outweigh any impacts which may occur; <br />and benefits are summarized in the "CEQA Findings and Statement of Overriding <br />Considerations;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the amendment to the Stoneridge Drive <br />Specific Plan is appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Recommends to the City Council approval of the Amendment to the Stoneridge <br />Drive Specific Plan, the application of Alameda County, as filed under Case <br />SPA-95-01, to modify the adopted Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan to reduce the <br />amount of commercial acreage from 103 acres to approximately 40 acres, add 45 <br />acres of new residential land uses at the Medium Density Residential range (2-8 <br />units per acre), and relocate and expand the 17 -acre active use community park to <br />a 33-acre community sports park located west ofEl Charro Road, south of <br />Interstate 1-580, east of the California Somerset and California Place <br />neighborhoods, and north of the Kaiser Sand and Gravel site, subject to the <br />mitigation measures listed in the EIR, Chapter 3, pages 1-13 (dated April 1996) <br />including any changes to the project and EIR as indicated in the Final EIR, pages <br />1-3 (dated September 23,1996) and incorporated into the conditions by this <br />reference. <br /> <br />Recommends to the City Council approval of the CEQA findings for case <br />SPA-95-01 and the adoption of the Environmental Impact Mitigation Monitoring <br />Program for the project. <br />
