Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee Minutes Page 1 of 2 April 24, 2023 <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />BICYLCE, PEDESTRIAN & TRAILS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br />April 24, 2023 <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Vickers called the regular meeting of the Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee to order <br />at the hour of 6:30 p.m. from the Pleasanton Senior Center located at 5353 Sunol Blvd. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Committee members Michael Vickers, Anurag Jain, Donna Dubose, Warren Lam, Matt <br />Maciel, Sharon Piekarski, Ernie Rodgers, Sierra Stewart <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Present Staff members, Traffic Engineer Mike Tassano, Associate Traffic Engineer Matt <br />Nelson, Landscape Architect Matt Gruber, Traffic Engineering Technician III Mark <br />Candland, Sergeant Steve Ayers, Deputy City Attorney Wes Cheung <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />1. Approve regular meeting minutes of March 27, 2023 <br /> <br />Recommendation: Approve Minutes <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />2. Introductions/Awards/Recognitions: None <br /> <br />3. Public Comment <br /> <br />Chair Vickers opened public comment. There being no speakers, Chair Vickers closed public <br />comment. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MATTERS <br /> <br />4. Provide recommendations to the City Council regarding regulations for E-bikes on trails <br />and in parks. <br /> <br />Recommendation: Recommend allowing E-Bikes on all city paths and bike lanes and <br />limiting the speed of E-Bikes to 15 miles per hour. In addition, seeking input from BPTC <br />Committee members and community. <br />Deputy City Attorney Wes Cheung presented the item. <br /> <br />Chair Vickers opened public comment/hearing. <br />
